4 October 2022 Last day for posting vote by mail. After this date votes must be returned to council’s secure ballot boxes.
8 October 2022 at 12 noon Election day – voting closes midday
8 October 2022 from 12 noon Preliminary results
13-19 October 2022 Declaration of results
These dates from are from the VoteLocal.co.nz website. The trick of course will be to find a postbox. Here’s a handy map to help you on your search. They are rather thinly spread these days.
After 4th October, votes need to be returned to the Council’s secure ballot boxes. Once I find out where these will be, and when, I’ll update this page.
